Our cute little baby!! We finally saw the little guy! He is so cute and so small! Nothing will ever be able to describe the love you feel when you see your baby! I was trying so hard not to cry! I just felt so happy seeing our little guy! It really hit me that I actually have a little baby growing inside of me when I saw the ultrasound! He was absolutely perfect! We saw his little hands and feet too. He waved at us a little which was so crazy! He was moving around a little bit too! It was so amazing to see our baby! This is our little baby you can see his head and body in these pics!
The thing I loved most about the entire appointment was having my best friend at my side. His face was beaming when he saw the baby! No words can describe the love that you feel for each other knowing you both created this little baby! I absolutely love it! We both couldn't stop smiling! I wish I could have just stayed the entire day getting an ultrasound and looking at our baby! I didn't want the nurse to stop rolling that thing (i don't know what its called.. ha ha) around on my stomach! I just wanted to keep looking at our baby and watch what it was doing! It really is so incredible and I feel so so blessed to be pregnant! It's a wonderful gift and blessing!
Overall we really just couldn't be happier! I am one excited and happy mommy!
We go in for our next appointment in 4 weeks! This appointment won't be so exciting because we don't get an ultrasound just lots of test to make sure me and baby are healthy!
As for the gender we won't figure that out for a little while, maybe around my third appointment but I'm not sure. My dad is already calling it Ricky ha ha so he has decided it's a boy. Same with my brother. Alan's mom also thinks is a boy and she has never been wrong with her guesses with previous grand babies... so we will see! As for me I think it's a girl! I don't really know if it's my motherly instincts or if I just really want a girl! I think it's leaning more towards I just really want a girl! ha ha! My mom says I just really want a girl so that I can finally have a "doll" to dress up! ha ha! She could be right :) Either way I will be so happy! I just hope at some point I will have a girl! I think it would be so fun and little girls are always so cute! :)
Rewind to 2 weekends ago when we told our families! I wanted to tell them in person so we made a trip down to Utah. I wanted to tell my parents in a creative way because mostly I just couldn't think of how else I was going to tell them. And it would be more fun this way. ha ha! So on our way out of town we stopped at Wal-mart and bought one of those "Baby on Board" signs
We wrapped it up in a present and told my parents we bought a sign for them for our garage. (Now to understand this you have to realize my family collects road signs and hangs them up all over our garage. Like, caution signs, old licnese plates, stop signs, whatever. Don't ask me why or how this started) Anyway so my mom opens it up and see's it. Her eyes got so wide, and she just said "really?" in a surprised and excited voice! My dad hadn't yet seen what the sign said so he was still clueless. ha ha my mom passed the sign to my dad and he was also really shocked and really excited for us! My siblings all went crazing when they saw the sign! My little sister couldn't stop laughing because she was so happy!
We then went over to the in-laws house and talked with them for a little bit then said we had some news... we didn't say anything after that, Alan just started rubbing my belly. His moms face was priceless! She was so excited for us! His dad was also so so happy for us he couldn't stop smiling! We texted all his siblings a picture of a me and our positive pregnancy test we later put on FB.
They were all so excited and happy!
His family made a sign and hung it up in their house that said something like "Congratulations, we love you and Baby!" It was so so sweet of them!
Telling our families couldn't have been more fun! We loved spending the weekend with them! It's so hard living 4 hours away from them! I wish we could move right now to Utah, but we need to stay here so Alan can finish up school. It will be so nice though when we are close to family again! Can't wait!
As for the Pregnancy up date:
I haven't really had any cravings lately. When I do have cravings it's never one specific thing. I guess you could say that I do lean more towards mexican food when I do crave things. Its always tacos, or a burrito, or something of that sort.
Morning sickness, I haven't really had much of it. Which is so nice! The times when I feel most sick is after I eat too much of something, or if I don't eat anything for a longtime. And a long time is like a couple hours. ha ha. I am just mostly snaking all day. Also brushing my teeth is a nightmare! I dread it every morning and night! I don't know what it is but that just triggers all my gag reflexes. I want to throw up every time and have a couple times. ha ha I know eww!
As for exercise, I'm starting Zumba again! I absolutely love Zumba! I'm not a very good dancer ha ha just ask my husband but I like to pretend I'm good it. So maybe thats why I love Zumba so much! ha ha! I also like to run. Its not the most fun workout to do but its nice to switch it up and get outside.
Well, we are so excited for what new joys this baby is going to bring into our little family! We already feel so blessed and so incredibly lucky! We can't wait for our next ultrasound to see our baby again and to find out the gender! The nurse told me something today that I loved! She said, "Healthy Mom Healthy Baby, Happy Mom Happy Baby" I am defiantly happy so hopefully our little guy is too!
Mommy and Daddy love you!
