Happy Mother's Day to all those moms and mommy to be's! I can't believe that I am actually a Mother. But it is the most precious gift in the entire world. My little one isn't even here yet but I already feel the love you get from being a mother and the true blessing and joy it is! I have such a greater understanding now of motherhood. It is absolutely incredible. There is a whole different joy you feel when it comes to being a mother! And I love that feeling! Nothing could ever replace it! I now understand why my mom does the things she does for me! And goes though all kinds of trouble to go out of her way just for me. Its because she is my Mom and she loves me! I love my Mom so much and everything that she has done for me though all these years! She has taught me everything I know! Which explains why I am exactly like her! ha ha! I laugh when I catch myself doing something she does. Like when she is thinking really hard she puts her hand on the side of her face like on her jaw line and rests her head on it. I used to think..."why does she do that?" ha ha well I caught myself doing it the other day and a couple other times too. I don't know why but, that position just lets you think so much better! ha ha! I love my mom so much! I couldn't have ever asked for a better mom than her! I really hope to be just as good as her one day! For all of you who know my mom, know what I am taking about! Because she is not just a wonderful mom she is a wonderful woman! I love you Mom!
Well today has been a beautiful Mother's Day! I couldn't have asked for a better day! It started out with breakfast in bed from my sweet adoring husband! He is incredible! He made me crepes! With his delicious fruit jelly and yummy cream! It was so so good! For all you who read my previous blog this is just more proof of who cooks in our home! He is just an amazing chef!
After breakfast I walked out into our family room and there was a huge vase of beautiful flowers and two big presents! I was so surprised! I quickly wrapped my arms around my husband and gave him a great big kiss! I first read the most perfect card he got for me. I cried like a baby reading it! He is so romantic and always knows the perfect things to say! I then opened my presents and let me just say... my hubby knows me so so well! He got me a maternity belly belt to help keep my pants up because I already can't fasten the button on my jeans which is so annoying! And he got me stretch mark lotion to prevent all the stretch marks to come and some that have already appeared. :( And then he got me the most amazing and comfortable maternity body pillow so I can finally have a good nights rest! I think he is tired of me kicking him out of bed! :) (Soooo side note... I just walked into our bedroom and my husband was taking his Sunday afternoon nap.... with MY maternity pillow... sooooo I take it that this pillow isn't just for me! ha ha! I don't blame him its pretty darn comfy!) :) I had to snap a couple of pictures...
My flash woke him up :) oops! ha ha
Anyway, I was so happy and so surprised with all my gifts and flowers! I love all my new mommy gifts he got me! He's amazing!
We then got ready and headed to church. Which was so great! The Relief society lesson was on "finding joy in the journey" The young woman joined us and sang the opening song which was beautiful and really touched my heart. Its called "Happily Ever After"
It was so beautiful! I have really never heard a young women choir sing so good! I wish I could have recored it. It reminded me when I was in young women's and how great it is! I really miss it! Young women are just so amazing! The talks that where given were also so good! One of the lady's talk was emphasizing on just how much our Savior loves us. And she said something that really made me think and touched my heart. She said think of the most love that you have ever felt from someone, now times that love by infinity. Thats the Saviors love for you! The second I heard her say that I thought of my sweet husband and the love that I feel from him! And to times that by infinity?? It really opened my eyes and gave me a little glimpse of just how much my Savior loves me. And what a better feeling to have felt than on Mother's Day!
Today really couldn't be going any better! It has been such a beautiful Mother's Day! I appreciate all the motherly figures that have been in my life! All the way back to my Young Women leaders, to my precious Grandma's and Great Grandmas, my Sister-in-laws, And of course to my sweet Mother-in-law! I couldn't ask for a better mother-in-law. She is absolutely incredible! There are no words that can describe the love and appreciation I have for her! I love you Consuelo!
Well Happy Mother's Day to all you all! I hope it has been a wonderful day! I know mine has been amazing! It truly is such an incredible blessing to be a mother! I just can't wait until our little one is here! Mommy loves you little one!
