9 more weeks and counting down!!!
I can't believe it! My mom keeps telling me it could be less like 7 more weeks which to be honest freaks me out a little bit! My mom warns me of this because all her kids came 2 weeks early... or earlier. And these things are usually genetic so we will see what happens.
It scares me a little... well a lot, at that fact of me going through labor, but it brings the biggest smile to my face knowing at the end of the day my little girl will be in my arms!
The other day Alan and I were watching a baby story on TLC and this lady had her baby at 28 weeks! Okay I'm 31 weeks so thats like Emma being 3 weeks old right now if she were born at 28 weeks! Well lets just say this threw my husband for a little scare! He got out the suitcase and started packing! So ask us if our hotspital bag is packed? Yes, yes it is!
We still have a few more things to add to it but it is ready! My husband is so cute and so sweet! So we are ready any day now, except we keep telling her to stay in there and keep cooking for another two months!
Somedays it feels like November 5th can't come soon enough!
I stare at all her little clothes hanging in her closet everyday! I imagine having her here and holding her so close to me. Sometimes I just sit in the rocking chair and imagine she is right in my arms! I can't wait to hold my precious baby girl!
Alan and I keep saying that we don't know where we would be without her! We already can't imagine our life without her! She already has completely stolen our hearts!
These are just somethings we love to do with our baby girl:
- We love to watch her move around! Video shows a little movement I caught on tape! She kicks me on the right side of my stomach in this clip.
This was a few weeks ago, and now she moves even more but it is so hard to catch this little one on film! The second I start to record she stops moving so this was the one lucky chance I got to catch her moving on film.
She is so active! She just rolls from side to side in there! It seems she can't get comfortable at times! Last night Alan and I where watching the movie New Years Eve and half way through the movie she started rolling all around from one side to the next! It was so entertaining to watch! Is it sad that I could just stare at my stomach for hours and be entertained? I just love watching her move! One thing I don't appreciate is when she sticks her foot in my rib! It happened for the first time last night. I was about to hop in bed and boom she shoves her little foot up there! It was so uncomfortable! I tried rubbing her foot down and she got mad and kicked me! ha ha! It felt like my rib cracked! Lets just say she got comfortable and didn't want to be moved! Which brings me to my next point...
- We do love feeling her kick! I feel her toss and turn all day! But I love the moments when Alan gets to feel her! His face lights up every time! He really loves his little girl so much! Last night when she was rolling all around he just kept his hand on my stomach forever and constantly keep feeling her move! He was laughing at how crazy she was being!
- We love to play hide-and-go-seek. Now let me explain... she does this thing where she pokes her little but out on one side, and my stomach bulges, so Alan likes to poke it and then she will move and go hide, we then feel around until we find her and poke her again, and the game continues! ha ha! We finally stop when she kicks back at us, like stop bugging me!! Ha ha! We just love her so much and can't leave her alone!!
- We love to talk to her! And tell her how much we can't wait for her to be here! Mommy tells her how much we love her, and how cute she is going to be, and how she is going to be mommy's little princess! When Daddy talks to her, he tells her how much he loves her. And how he wishes she will have Mommy's eyes. He also loves to make loud noises into my stomach because she kicks back at him! He also loves to tell her that she is going to be a daddy's girl and NOT a mommy's girl! I tell her otherwise! :)
- We love looking at all her clothes! Imagining just how stinkin cute she is going to be! We have already picked out her "coming home" outfit! We have a new born outfit and a 0-3 month outfit picked out, just so we are prepared no matter what size she is!
I may not look that excited in the picture but trust me I am! I was just really tired that day and the camera caught it! :)
I love finding cute little things to decorate her room, and of course finding cute little outfits to dress her in!
I die a little bit inside every time I see a cute little new born outfit! I have this problem where I love to buy all these little new born outfits and not 3 month or even 6 month outfits! Alan keeps telling me that she is going to have nothing to wear when she grows out of new born clothes, which is going to be a lot faster then what we think! Ha ha so I am getting better at buying bigger
sizes. I just love how cute and little the new born outfits are! :)
- And last but not least, this one is mostly just me, I love sewing her cute little things. Right now I am working on sewing her a quilt! It's been taking a bit of time because I am not anywhere close to being a professional seamstress but I'm trying. In fact the other day I spent two hours un-picking a little mess up of mine! ha ha! But again, I'm trying! I will upload pics once the final project is done. This little project of mine has been a good thing to keep me busy! Emma and Mommy have been working very hard on it! :)
Well those are just a few things we love doing with our little girl! :) And we can't wait until she is actually here, so we can do so much more with her! :) Like feed her, change her, burp her, calm her and all those motherly responsibilities! :) We can't wait!
Third Trimester Symptoms:
Well luckily I haven't had too many bad symptoms in this third trimester. But the ones I have had are...
- FATIGUE! This is a big one! All my energy is just completely gone! It is so hard to get myself motivated to go out and exercise! Sometimes its hard to just motivate myself to get out of bed! ha ha! When I do have energy I love it and usually try to take advantage of it somehow!
- Braxton Hicks! These are like practice contractions. A way your body starts getting ready for the big day! These started a couple weeks ago when we went on a little vacation with my family to Lake Powell. I don't know if it was the long hours of driving or the bumpy boat rides everyday but these hit hard two weeks ago! They settled down quite a bit for a week or so, but now their back! The past two or three days I have been getting them like a least 3 or 4 times a day! At least! My baby app says if I get more than 6 within an hour I should be worried and call my doctor but I haven't reached that yet, its usually 2 within 10 mins of each other, and then they are gone. So that is good. They aren't horribly painful but they are little uncomfortable sharp pains.
- Back Pains! This is another thing that has really taken a toll on me! My back kills with just a little bit of walking around. Alan and I went on a walk this past Sunday to the temple. Which is like right up the hill from where we live. By the time we got to the temple I had to sit on a bench for like 30 mins because my back was just so sore! Standing for long hours at work (at Jamba Juice) really kills me also! I only work 4 hours max a day but my back is killing me by hour 2! So Alan and I went out and bought me a belly belt yesterday! Let me just say that thing is the best invention ever!! Alan describes it as a bra for your belly! ha ha! It just supports your belly and takes some of that pressure off your back! I put it to the real test today at work and let me just say there was a significant difference!
Those are my main symptoms I have had! Nothing to bad at all. I really can't complain! This has been a really good pregnancy! Now lets just hope I didn't jinx myself! ;)
We really can't wait for our little one to be here! We already love her so much! And are counting down the days! Like I said before we can't imagine our life without her!! We love our little princess!

Colleen! You are so darling pregnant! Oh my goodness! you are almost there girl! I'm so excited for you! It's such a blessing, and the best thing ever being a mom! You will love her so much! I hope you are feeling ok! Home stretch girl! xoxo
